5 Benefits of Corporate Fitness Centre

Australia are more at work than in many countries. In a 2013 study by the International Labour Organization, 85.8 percent of Australian men and 66.5 percent of Australian women work more than 40 hours a week. When you associate all of that time with our culture’s increasing reliance on electronics for entertainment, you can easily see why so many Australians are not overweight and in shape. In fact, according to the Department of Health and Human Services, about 60 percent of employees do not get enough exercise.

As well as being the best, there are many different types of corporate fitness center that educate and encourage employees to adopt healthier lifestyles. There are five main benefits to establishing a healthy culture in your company.

Research is showing that companies that have a corporate fitness program retain their employees longer than other companies. A study conducted by the National Business Group on Health and Towers Watson showed that companies with wellness programs reported less voluntary attendance compared to those without. 

An example of this is the Biltmore Tourism Organization, which reduced its employee turnover rate from 19 percent in 2000 to 9 percent in 2009 after launching bootcamps Melbourne at workplaces. The staff appreciates the effort.

Health is difficult to measure, but it is also an important advantage of the workplace fitness program. Employers, however, can have a huge impact on the lives of their employees, creating an environment that shows workers that they are valued and appreciated. The corporate fitness center goes a long way in doing that. So how do you get started with a corporate fitness program?
